Describe how you have helped a client that made you a great partner to the client
I was introduced to a couple who had put insurance in place many years ago, had not had regular reviews and didn’t even know their adviser. Since putting their cover in place, their requirements have changed drastically. They are in the process of selling their business and their insurer is no longer taking new business so their premiums were continuing to rise. As a result of our review, we halved their premiums by reducing their cover and I placed them with a more competitive insurer with increased benefits. I was also able to look after the new business owners insurance through the process.
Geographical areas you represent
I am happy to represent clients in any geographical area over the phone and online. However, I will travel throughout the Bowen Basin to meet with mining clients and to Airlie Beach and Bowen area for all other clients.
What is one thing you would like clients to think about when it comes to life insurance
My approach to general advice with my clients is to explain that I am not here to tell you what cover you need, but I am here to provide you with the information you need to make your own decisions and then provide you with the most appropriate insurer to cover any shortfalls in your protection needs.

I encourage clients to think not only about if they die. The problem is often that you haven’t died but you are now in financial hardship because you are unable to earn an income.

Consumers wanting to consider general advice should be open to learning about life insurance products so that they can identify any risks they or their family would be exposed to should something happen to them. Insurance provides the solution to the problems they’ve identified.
